The Lucky Fin Project (LFP) is a non-profit organization that exists to raise awareness, and celebrate children and individuals born with symbrachydactyly and other limb differences. It has been one of the great joys of my life to serve as an ambassador for the LFP…
As a touring musician, my work as an LFP ambassador has taken me all over the country and I’ve had the privilege to meet a great many families. It has been a keystone of my mission to emphasize A-bility over Dis-ability, and to show children (as well as adults) that all things are possible if you set your mind to them and don’t give up.
I am very excited to serve the LFP by providing them with a theme song (CLICK HERE to go to the official theme song page)!
Thank you for listening,
Tony plays the Kopf Percussion Oak Toe Kicker Stomp box. The lightweight and slim piece of wood plugs directly into his PA and with a slight tap of his foot, provides a rich and full bass drum sound. Watch and listen for Tony’s use of the stomp box at his next solo show!
I have been friends with the Medal/Bissing family for many years. Our lives have been somewhat entwined as we grew up in the same town, went to school together, were involved in after-school-extra-curricular activities, and are members of the same church. They’ve been especially supportive of me and my music and have attended more of my shows than anyone I know, except for my own mom and dad.
This past May my friend, Melissa Bissing, tragically lost her son, Owen. He was only 6.5 months old. I sang at the funeral and was a first hand witness of the strength of the entire family.
I wrote “Owen’s Song” and especially dedicate it to the Bissings and Medals. I also hope that everyone who has experienced loss can find hope and peace in the music and lyrics (CLICK HERE to go to the official song page).
I encourage you to please download the song as it is a fundraiser for the Bissing Family Relief Fund. If you haven’t had the opportunity to read Melissa’s blog, I encourage you to do so. It is some of the most sincere and honest writing I’ve read. Click here to view Melissa’s blog.
Upon completion on September 28th, 2010, Ashley became the 16th female EVER to run across America. Ashley is the Founder of MS Run the US, Inc. and is the Project Organizer for the 2013 MS Run the US Relay.
MS Run the US, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) government approved charitable organization that was established to raise donations to help fund a cure for MS, as well as inspire others to get involved.
I wrote this song after being inspired by Ashley Kumlien’s run across America to raise awareness and money to fight multiple sclerosis.
Download the track and encourage your friends and family to do the same. Let’s help Ashley reach her fund-raising goals!
